GET TO KNOW YOUR LAWYER: Q&A's with JACLYN

I do my best to thoroughly explain the routes to success for my clients. Every case is different and it’s important that my clients have as much information as possible so that we can make the right decision
together.

I’m thorough but practical. My goal is to save my clients as much money as possible while also
maintaining their reputation and principled stances.

I spent the majority of my practice in Big Law, which allowed me to gain great experience in a wide variety of cases and also allowed me to work with hundreds of attorneys all with different styles. I credit Big Law for giving me the resources and mentors to truly hone my practice. I started my career at a trial law firm. I traveled the country trying massive toxic tort cases that lasted  weeks and months. I gained more litigation experience in the first few years of practice than lawyers who had been licensed for decades.

I do, with the caveat that in some counties, it’s best to have a local attorney with you. I’m a frequent visitor in the following counties: Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Harris, and Travis but I have cases all over the state and a network of amazing attorneys that I partner up with when necessary.

My investigation skills, memory, and creativity. I always get to the truth. I love when a client designates a case as a “no stone unturned” case. That’s where I really shine.

I have a massive collection of nutcrackers at Christmas time, hundreds of books that I’ve read (guilty pleasure), and lipstick in nearly every color imaginable.

I’ve always had a lot of respect for lawyers and considered it an admirable career path. I knew I would be a great lawyer when I discovered that I had a penchant for investigating and advocating on behalf of people who needed help.

I love investigating cases. I believe that there’s always a “why” in litigation and I love figuring out what that is. I enjoy a good balance of legal writing and courtroom time.

When people call me Jackie and gum-smacking.

After graduating college, I worked at the Texas Capitol for a legislative and special session. After that, I worked for Texas Municipal Police Association (offering legal representation to law enforcement).

A witty introvert who loves litigation. Living oxymoron.

Quality family time is non-negotiable. I also make time for things I love like reading, running, planning holiday festivities, and picking out matching pajamas for my kids. This career is inherently stressful so it’s important to maintain as much of a balance as possible.

Easy. Office pranks. He’s oddly jumpy.
